Upcoming Hallmark Movies: Full List Of New Titles And Premiere Dates
So many movies are coming!
If you need a happy ending-focused romantic story, whether it be strictly comedic or more serious, there are a few networks and streaming services where you can turn and be able to find the content you like. But, none of those places are quite as dedicated to bringing fans light, fun romantic fare and heart-warming, romance-filled drama which will be sure to bring a smile to the faces of viewers like the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The popularity of these stories grows all of the time, and the channels long ago branched out to create new romantic stories built around seasonal themes, which debut all year long.
You only have to stop by the sister channels a few times to know that there are a lot of new movies which come to the networks every year, and if you count these films as some of the best romantic comedies, you could probably use a handy list of all the new movies, which of your returning favorites will be starring in Hallmark’s rewarding films, and when they'll debut as a part of the 2023 TV schedule, and we have that for you right here!
Now, without further ado, let's get into the list of upcoming movies on the networks, which includes the last of its Spring Into Love films!
When Love Springs (Hallmark) - Saturday, May 6, 8 p.m. EST
Starring: Rhiannon Fish and James O’Halloran
Rory (Fish) heads to a B&B with her family for her parents’ vow renewal, only to be unexpectedly confronted by the ex who broke her heart, so she pretends the B&B’s soon-to-be owner, Noah (O’Halloran), is her boyfriend.
Rhiannon Fish is likely known to those who love Hallmark movies for her starring roles in A Splash of Love, Journey of My Heart, and Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths, or her work in other network films like Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made, The 27-Hour Day, and You’re Bacon Me Crazy. The Australian actress portrayed Ontari on The CW’s The 100 in 2016, and has also been on shows in her home country like the soap operas Home and Away and Neighbours.
James O’Halloran will likely be familiar to anyone who’s watched The Price Is Right since 2013, as he’s been a model on the long-running game show for the past decade. In that time, he’s also appeared on shows like The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, Jane the Virgin, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, The Mindy Project, Superstore, and A.P. Bio.
The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) - Friday, May 12, 9 p.m. EST
Starring: Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar
When singer Jane (Sweetin) inherits her family’s non-profit detective agency, her face case sees her tackle a mother’s untimely death under the tutelage of police detective John Cameron (Huszar).
Jodie Sweetin should be familiar to every fan of Full House and its continuation, Fuller House, as she portrayed Stephanie Tanner for both. She’s also been in Hallmark’s Merry & Bright, Love Under the Rainbow, and Entertaining Christmas, as well as series like Hollywood Darlings and Can’t Get Arrested.
Stephen Huszar will be familiar to Hallmark fans, as he’s starred in films like A Homecoming for the Holidays and Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas, along with playing Luke Tatum on Chesapeake Shores and Jake in the Ruby Herring Mysteries. He’s also been in shows like Letterkenny, Tribal, Supernatural, The Flash, Fringe and Cashing In.
Dream Moms (Hallmark) - Saturday May 13, 8 p.m. EST
Starring: Tamera Mowry-Housley, Chelsea Hobbs, Roger Cross, and Andrew J. Hampton
When Danielle’s (Mowry-Housley) brother, RJ (Hampton), introduces her to Claire (Hobbs) after the latter woman begins taking dance classes at his studio, the two women begin to regain their passion for performing after years of deferring their dreams of stardom for motherhood.
Tamera Mowry-Housley is probably best known for her time with her twin sister, Tia, on Sister, Sister, and in the Twitches franchise. She co-hosted The Real from 2013-2020, and has starred in Hallmark movies like Christmas Comes Twice and The Santa Stakeout. Mowry-Housley has also been in shows like Strong Medicine, and films like The Hot Chick.
Chelsea Hobbs has appeared in hallmark films like June in January, The Nine Lives of Christmas, the Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries films and The Holiday Sitter, but many will likely recognize her best from her three seasons as Emily Kmetko on ABC Family’s gymnastics drama, Make It or Break It. Over the years, the actress has also lent her talents to shows like UnREAL, CSI, Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce, Supernatural, The Good Doctor, and was also in the made for TV movie The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story, where she portrayed Laura Leighton.
Roger Cross appeared in Hallmark’s Game, Set, Love and All Saints Christmas in 2022, and has starred, guest-starred or recurred in a number of series dating back to his debut in an episode of 21 Jump Street in 1989, like Wiseguy, Highlander, The Commish, 24, The L Word, Fringe, The Gates, Eureka, Arrow, The Strain, Continuum, Dark Matter, and Murdoch Mysteries.
Andrew J. Hampton played Maurice on three episodes of The Flash in 2020, and has also been in series such as So Help Me Todd, Blockbuster, Upload, Supernatural, Atypical, and House of Lies.
Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) - Friday, May 19, 9 p.m. EST
Starring: Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison
Hannah (Sweeney) begins to investigate when a skeleton is found during a building renovation.
Alison Sweeney has been in a number of Hallmark movies, including A Magical Christmas Village, the Murder, She Baked movies, Open by Christmas, and all six of The Wedding Veil films. She’s also known for her work as Sami Brady on Days of Our Lives, whom she’s played on and off since 1987.
Cameron Mathison has starred in a number of Hallmark films, such as The Christmas Ornament, My Gal Sunday, Along Came a Nanny, Very, Very Valentine, A Summer to Remember, The Christmas Club, and other installments of the Murder, She Baked franchise, of which Carrot Cake Murder is a part. Away from the network, he’s best known as Ryan Lavery on All My Children and Drew Cain on General Hospital. He’s also been in series like Hot in Cleveland, Desperate Housewives, Castle, Hope & Faith, What I Like About You, and has acted as a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight since 2007.
Love In Zion National: A National Park Romance (Hallmark) - Saturday, May 20, 8 p.m. EST
Starring: Cindy Busby and David Gridley
Assistant curator Lauren (Busby) sets out to locate the missing Anasazi wedding vase from a set donated to her museum, and she gets help from Zion National Park ranger Adam (Gridley), so she can return the set to the Pueblo Nation.
Cindy Busby portrayed Ashley Stanton on Heartland from 2007 through 2014, and was in the Hallmark series Cedar Cove as Rebecca Jennings. She’s also starred in a number of the network’s films, such as the Unleashing Mr. Darcy franchise, A Puppy for Christmas, Warming Up to You, Marry Me in Yosemite, Love in the Forecast, Hearts Down Under, and Chasing Waterfalls. The actress has, additionally, appeared in shows like Date My Dad, Motive, The Tomorrow People, Psych, Supernatural, The Secret Circle, and The Vampire Diaries.
David Gridley is known for TV work such as playing Tyler James on Guidance, Colt Axelrod on Team Kaylie, and SN Henry Bell on The Last Ship. He’s also been in shows like Army Wives, Maggie, Pretty Smart, Dynasty, and Star, and films like The DUFF.
